Zhenya is an unknown quantity at this point
Greetings Alkas
I'm glad that you have read Suvorov's book and ready to share it. It is important to read the book as well as it is important to know how to interprete it using your brain and not only ability to read.
"Western historians also don't show any interest understanding the
true"-as you said. It is hard to believe in it, but certainly your belief in it makes your point obvious and true. But for me your statement means that Suvorov is just one opinion in the world of history and he may be correct as well as he may be wrong. He talks sweet and strong, but how really right he is. When you read his book you can feel how much hate he has for Soviet Union and all his points smell the same- he doesn't accept grey color: only white or black. Although he calls himself a patriot time to time.

Well, you have fun reading Suvorov, just remember that there is no just one right answer in history, and I wish you more patience to other people when you disagree with them. And also try not to restate in you words my points when proving how wrong I am. OK?

Regards...

You know Alksas!
I don't know what Stalin wanted to do in Europe but the result of his politic is that we lost the beginning of The war. Different pacts his dullness, it is the reason os millions of dead russian people. According to the saying of different Generals, our army was able to defeat the german one. Sorry, that it is not the question of your topic but I wanted to express my opinion.

My best regards!

Cool

Hello,
It's a pity for me, but I can't agree with your opinion. To my mind, the only one person that showed dullness was Adolf Hitler. He invaded SU having a war against England (and potentially USA) in the same time.

Regards!

Dear Zhenya,
sorry for writing you too late, I was searching for other informations concerning this topic. There are some www-pages that also discuss Suvorov's pieces criticising him. (www.deol.ru)They found out that he often exaggerates technical characteristics of Soviet Army in some aspects. On the other hand, I found a new book written by the German historian Adolf(!) von Thadden about this stuff: Er wollte den Krieg (He wanted the war). This historian deals with Suvorov's version without "emotional additions" which are so typical for Suvorov's books. A propos, Suvorov's last book "Ochschenie" is more a historical novel than a research work. You see, there are different opinions in history.

Best Regards
