here is an interesting discussion of VE day:
http://info.onet.pl/1092010,11,item.html

My translation (Being Polish myself):

Quote:
The Polish president will go to moscow on the 8th of May the day before the end of the war. According to the article kwasniewski will lay flowers on the symbolic grave of Leopolda Okulicki. The last Leader of the AK, who died in Soviet captivity. Later the president will put flowers on plaza before Lubianka, under the rock of Solowieckich islands - The Symbol of Stalinist terror. Gazeta Wyborcza also believes that Kwasniewski will meet with memorial including Russians of documents regarding Stalinist crimes.

According to Gazeta Wyborcza, at every point in the program, Aleksander Kwaśniewski will show the Polish view of what happened on May 9th 1945.
yep, the cold war isnt over.

Haha, I'm sure you prefer the "I have't noticed that communism is dead and Russia is crap" president Putain.

BTW I liked the way in which the "clown" Kwasniewski supported the Orange Revolution and improved the Polish-Ukrainian relations, while the "non-clown" Putain made an stalinist, friend-of-criminals idiot out of himself.
