Honestly, I dont consider the publication of this book as friendly act tought Ukraine...Why it was published exactly in the Europe?...The theme is rather narrow and why to not publish it in Ukraine or Canada? As matter of discussion between different politically colored Ukrainian groups?
But it was published exactly in Europe...exactly in Poland.I guess Polishchuk specially wanted big loud...
Additionally, this is speculations with veru painful moment of Ukrainian hystory...majority of Ukrainians dont want to touch it without need...And in this book I see everything took out without any mercy...

So Max, would you think that saying about Nazi crimes is also merciless? I can hardly imagine that a German writing about Nazism could be accused of unfriendly act against his nation. Please, make a basic difference between rabid Ukrainian nationalists committing crimes during WWII and Ukrainian society as a whole.

P.S. Max, have you read even a little portion of this book yet?
This book was first published in Canada.

No...Im sorry but I did not read anything...Except short review published here.
Thats why Im not categorical...Really for diasporal Ukrainian its brave thing-to publish it.Its realy goes not in accordance with ideology of Ukrainian diaspora.
We here in Ukraine are more free in our sympathies...Looks like this book not about us,about other people...
By the way its used to think Lvivans just worship the Poland.

Zbyszek...I hate Nazism...Im not member of any Ukrainan nationalist's party although I have some friends among them ...I like Polish people,I like Russians,I like Irish,I like Jews...
So whom about is this book?
If about "rabid Ukrainian nationalists"-I can agree...If about whole the Ukrainian ideology...I cant agree.

I dont understand all these loud about Ukrainan nationalism...It exists but it has not so agressive forms as it used to think.A lot of my friends were for some periods nationalists and this did not make them monsters...In reality Ukrainian nationalism is rather civilizated thing, but being the subject of political speculations it got many false images.
I dont understand this Polish article...the Polish professor decided to make accounts with Ukraine, not more...Its not the fact people in Canada realy think so...
And...our diaspora is particular republic.Their positions as usually very far from Ukrainian outlook...sometimes they cant find contacts with Ukraine at all.
Max, I miss your words too
How are you doing?
