I need to kno 10 famous people in the Ukraine and their occupations

1. Victor Yushchenko - Prime-Minister, former Chairman of National Bank of Ukraine (brilliant financist).
2. Ivan Pliushch - new Speaker of Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament).
3.Valeriy Lobanovskiy - chief coach of Ukrainian soccer team "Dynamo"
4.Mykola Amosov - country most prominent cardiologist, Chief of Institute of Cardiology.
5. Alla Mazur - chief ancor for TSN news of Studio 1+1, leading TV channel in Ukraine (kind of American Cokie Roberts variant).
6. Suzanna Stannik - current Justice Minister of Ukraine
7. Slava Stets'ko - oldest member of Parliament, Head of Congress of Ukrainian Nationalists (a political party).
8. Leonid Kadeniuk - first Ukrainian cosmonaut in space.
9. Nina Matviyenko - famous Ukrainian folk singer, called "the golden voice of Ukraine".
10. Andriy Medvedev - famous tennis player.


Now, I tried to give you a broad spectrum of "famous" people, I am far better at naming politicians.

Leodid Kuchma - President of the Ukraine.
Mykola Grushevsky - First President of the Ukraine.
Taras Shevchenko. He is the Ukraine's greatest poet.
Lesya Ukrainka ( Lesya K. Kvitka) - Great poet.
Mykola Lysenko - Composetor. He is the far relative to Lesya Ukrainka.
Vasyl' Stus - poet
Vingranovsky (first name I guess Mykola). His poems are very beautiful.
For example:
U bilim sni, u bilim sni zymovim
V zemli pid sertsem vorohnulasya vesna
I tin' konvaliy synyogolosna
Nam pochala vesnu v svoyim pahuchimslovi

zelenym golosom sady zovut' zozulyu
zelenyy borsch zbigaye na plytu
rozplyuschyv ochi viter na tsybulyu
kartoplya dyvytsya u zemlyu zolotu.

Ones I read His poems on Russian. That was awful. His poems are not translatebul.I guess you don't speak Ukrainian, but this poem is for everybody, just to remind 'Nen'ku Ukrayinu'.
Those are famoust people of the past, but they will live forever for Ukraine. I don't know if you need famoust people of present. Here some.
Lina Kostenko. Natalka Usenko. - beautiful poets.
Nina Matviyenko - Very beautiful soprano. Ones I went to her consert of "horova kapella DUMKA". She use to sing very sad song about holocoust. People were crying.
I think you know world - wide recognized Oksana Bayul - skater. who won a Olympic Gold Medal in (1995 or 96?) Now she lives in USA.
