Stas, really I would like to see all Ukrain speaking in our language - Ukrain. But to do it with the methods as in Latvia is nonsense. Thay forgot about the human rights. (If you dont know the new low in Latvia, it consists in prohibite the using of Russian even in non official meetings). I would like to see Ukrain as a plural country. For exaple, here in Spain, where I live, there are some autonomical regions. In official departments is necessary to use both Spanish and Basque (in Basque Country) or Catalan (in Catalunya). In the Basque Country there are schools with only basque language, with both - Spanish and basque or only with Spanish. So if you are not Basque, you can study only in Spanish. But if you want to work in governmental office, you must study Basque. The result - there are very small quantity of Spanish schools. The same pass in Catalunya.

Why it cant be used in Ukraine? Why the Russian people cant study only in Russian with Ukrain as a subject (if they want)? Of course, if they want to work in govemental offices or write letter to these offices, they must speak perfectly Ukrain (or to pay the translation). (If I go to Russia, I must speak Russian, not Ukrain or French, isnt it?)

Dear Grandma.
A common sense is not gonna work when dealing against Stas. Try threatening.

To John.
Thank you for congratulations, but now I don't know whether you're joking or not.

WBR, Zhenya.

Nah, my reply was well-meant. I was trying to get around having cussed at poor Stas in French when I replied. I thought he was being a smart aleck who spoke French, but he was just saying as a practical matter, French is an okay choice as a second language. As it turns out, we're all pretty much saying the same things...I think. No we're not. Stas was saying that Ukrainian should sort of be the official, mandatory language. I reject that. Stas, Zhenya's right. You're wrong. There.

You know, one time I went on the bus, there were a lot of Russians, and one of them took out little cooking dish...
You know, all two hours we were in that bus, they talket about that little dish.
"O! A kastriulka ta zheleznaya! A ruchki ta aluminevye!.." and so on.
