I dont hate Russians. But... Here I had one Russian friend, a nice girl. One day she spoks about languages, and that Ukrain and Bielorussian are very funny and... stupid languages. "It is really strange why they try to preserv this kind of dialects". You can say me that this girl is rather foolish, but something as this I listened from the most part of Russians I know. I am not happy that there arent Russians schools in the places with Russians people, I mean Donetsk, for example, but I want to speak Ukrain in Lviv, and listen to President in Ukrain. If I lose my language, who am I? Am I Russian?

I think that there should be only Ukrainian schools with one Russian language subject. Those Ukrainians that do not know how to speak Ukrainian, should learn and speak it. As far as I know, in Lviv everybody speak Ukrainian, and everywhere in Western Ukraine. Central Ukraine is a little behind, and Eastern is far behind. But i'm sure there will be time when all Ukrainians will speak Ukrainian, and Russian language will be a second language(Although I prefer French as second language

Hello, everybody.
I'm happy that most people here have no hate in their hearts, that means that this site will bring people more joy and entertainment in the New Year. I think that it is a great advantage of ukrainians that they mostly can speak Russian, because it makes it easier to travel or find a job in most of former Soviet Union republics. Many people in America pay money to learn Russian, but we don't need to pay, because we already know it, and this is not something to be ashamed of. Of course it wouldn't hurt to learn french. Now I feel bad, with your nice reply, Stas, because I called you an idiot about four different ways in my French reply. But Zhenya then offered a perfectly sane and sensible response, which actually lends weight to your assertion. The question is, which language serves you best in the "real World." Russian is good, and so is French.
Greetings, Zhenya! |
