Was Stalin A Secret Capitalist?

LINK: The Tasks of Economic Executives

Stalin's Speech on 'The Task of Business Executives in the USSR'

Speech Delivered at the First All-Union Conference of Leading Personnel of Socialist Industry

February 4, 1931

"But what is needed for success? The elimination of our backwardness, the development of a high Bolshevik tempo of construction. We must march forward in such a way that the working class of the whole world, looking at us, may say: There you have my advanced detachment, my shock brigade, my working-class state power, my fatherland; they are engaged on their cause, our cause, and they are working well; let us support them against the capitalists and promote the cause of the world revolution. Must we not justify the hopes of the world's working class, must we not fulfil our obligations to them? Yes, we must if we do not want to utterly disgrace ourselves."

Marx's theory was that communism would develop through evolution. Lenin couldn't wait for this, and believed in a revolution from above (contrary to Marxist theory, hence, "Marxism-Leninism"). Stalin took this evolutionary-revolutionary step of Marxism-Leninism one step further, which was to spread the revolution (Stalinist states) throughout Eastern Europe and, eventually, beyond, using the USSR as the model.

What a brutal and inhuman "experiment" the Soviet system was!

And now Lilly try to guess what the East European nations could feel during the People's Autumn 1989 when the system was obviously crashing in front of us, happy onlookers in the Central/East Europe's 'system barrack' states [they say my barrack was the most rebellious one ha ha].
... and the System was originally designed to last for centuries like Roman Empire! And we really had an impression that it will outlive us. Now it looks like a miracle, miracle! And maybe the most important part of it is that it happened without brutal bloodshed. Really unbelievable.

thanks to Gorbachev, there was little injuries. The communist party eventually removed him, for letting things slip, but it was too late.

It was hardly Gorby's burden to bear. It was a system set up to fail, regardless who was the figurehead.

it doesn't matter if it was to fail, it matters that it ended due to Gorbachev's policies. If it wasn't for those policies, the system would have still lived on like, North Korea. North Korea is a economic downslide, but yet the system continues because the leader uses military force to continue on with his policies. One thing the communist party didn't have in the 90s.
