Marina, my last address in Ukraine was in Odessa. If you want to look at a really good rynok (besides the Privoz, of course), go to Severnyj Rynok where Dobrovol'skogo meets Bacherova. We lived at 120 Dobrovol'skogo (my propiska says I still live there), and I could just walk a short distance to everything. It's just a huge market. It's winter right now, so the drinking kiosks are closed until spring. You can take the #1 trolley car to the turnaround at the beach, and get on the #7 to Bacherova.
You probably already know Odessa, but I recommend the restaurant Gorsad located on the Gorsad, of course, on Deribasovskaya. It's downstairs, serves a really big menu, and they actually have everything that's on the menu most of the time, and the prices are very reasonable. Really romantic place, too. You're probably coming in by train. Don't let ANYONE carry your bags at the Vokzal unless you know them or have a reason to trust them. They could disappear from your sight before you know it. Oh, I wish I was going with you! Ne mogy zhit' bez Odessamamy! Keep chatting here until you leave. I may have a request yet. Yes. I know what I want: An Odessa street map. I lost mine. I'll pay you for it. The nice version has an expanded middle with a real detailed map of the centre. Could you? If it's a problem, I'll understand. Best regards, John |

Hello everybody.
Nevermind. I started to explain myself to Ungaro, but later I realized that he confused me for Zhenya2000 and had to delete my message. I miss Odessa too. I visited Odessa as a child couple of times, it was such a great time. But people say: "V gostiah horosho, a doma luchshe." Which means that its better to be at home than anywhere else. If I had a chance to go to Ukraine, I'd go to Chernivtsy, my hometown. About topic: I think that because Russia is a multinational country, its ridiculous to differentiate between, let's say, russians and Ukrainians that have lived there for 20 years. There is at least 20 million Ukrainians, and also lots of other nationalities. They already have RNE. The decision about making Russians a principal nation of Russia gives RNE more self confidence. wbr |

Zhenya, close this topic! It gets more disgusting with time, and I didn't learn anything about Ukrainian history in here.
"This is gonna be nationalistic forum with hate for Russia" what a ****! With your history knowlege you could come up with something more informative. There are got to be nationalists at each country. And you know how many there is of Russian nationalists? And here you are protecting poor Russia(from Ukrainian nationalist - ha-ha-ha, that even sounds pathetic) So, stop having all of your principle fights with Stas, nobody needs it. |

Yulia, did someone spike your Ovaltine with vinegar? This has been a GREAT topic (count the entries), and it has its own life. Most of the time we're off topic anyway. And if it keeps Stas out of the saloons in Brooklyn, it's a good thing.
But what the hell is RNE? |
