During Ukrainian history, we had many enemies, but which one was the worse for us? Which one attacked Ukraine more than others?

I recall hearing that Tatars would sweep through Volhyn every other year or so for a number of years. The legend I heard was that they were on a "wife run" each time, in addition to the usual plunder. They would collect the ones they wanted, and go back home. Peace ensued when folks in Volhyn proposed that the ones who wanted to could just pick out a wife and a piece of land, and stay, rather than making that long trip all the time. This supposedly accounts for the small indigenous Tatar population in Volhyn.
I wouldn't swear to this tale at all.

The meanest were undoubtedly the Soviets, who murdered and starved untold millions in the 1930s.

The main problem is where is the enemy now - in the East or West?

Grandma, I would keep an eye on that northern border for awhile.

Well, at this moment, I think that only Russia is some sort of enemy, but at the same time they are our allies.

Ukrainians itself?
You know what I noticed? All Ukrainian people who come here suddenly become great patriots, even if before they weren't.

Greetings,
I would be interested to know, the attitude
towards Hungary. As you know our past is connected. Ushgorod, Munkchove have large Hungarian speaking populations. Are they
happy being the part of Ukraine, or would they prefer being re-united with Hungary?
I do not care to start a fight about this.
I know that the area that belongs to ROMANIA,
that has a large Hungarian speaking population, wants to re-join Hungary. They have petitioned the United Nations. Naturally
the Romanian Government is pissed off about
this. I would be interested to hear about the
Ukranian side.
