What Alphabet Before The Cyrilic?

hi. what alphabet was used before the cyrilic one in the areas of ukraine-russia..?

There is a big probability that Slavs, generally did not use any alphabets before adopting Cyrillic alphabet, which is based on the Greek alphabet. Little bit later Cyrill and Methodius invented "Slavic" alphabet - Glagolitsa, which was used in paralel with Cyrillic alphabet.

The first alphabet used by the Slavs was a now-archaic form of cyrillic...
