Question

Does anyone here knows something about old-time Ukrainian villages/small towns of Kaminka & Tsvitny Kolony, in the vicinity of Kiev, or central Ukraine. My Grandparents, rest in peace, were born there in late 19th century, and I'd like to know if they still exist.
In case I'm not in the right forum, please give me some helpful tips.

Yes we know it very well and it was discussed in detail in our forum. The Lemko's lands are placed in what it now South-Eastern Poland. I visited these places three years ago (Komancza in the valley of Oslava river) and was amazed with their beauty. It well deserves to be a tourist hit!

The topic is good for master's or even doctoral thesis. I read one, defended at Jagiellonian Univ., Cracow. Lemkivshchyna is undoubtedly placed almost entirely within current Polish borders.
For more study, you could read the following discussions:

Lemkos were proud people, tending to avoid national classification. They were neither Polish nor Russian and also many of them distanced themselves from being Ukrainian. Now, Polish scientific sources usually classify them as Ukrainian mountaineers.
And mountaineers often looked down upon valley dwellers from ..lol.
