Yes we do. But not under the guise of crackpot history which attempts to drive a wedge between Russia and Ukraine.

Hi B & G.

Russia, Ukraine and Belarus as one, to symbolize the great Kievan Rus legacy bonding the three.

Misha, the wedge between Russia and Ukraine started to exist during the Mongol occupation of Russia, when Russian ruling elites, and by them , all Russians, adopted Mongol cultural elements.

Today Ukrainians are Slavic/European when it comes to (political) culture, while Russians are culturally post-Mongol.

Today Russians have culturally very little in common with Kievan Rus, much less than not only Ukrainians, but also less than Lithuanians,Polish, etc.
The Kievan Rus was a Slavic and European state, Russia is culturally non-Slavic and non-European.

Michael

Cool Early Ukrainian Churches: Faith in each other

In terms of brothers of Christian fellowship, yes.
On eastern and western Ukraine's territory,
our ancestors prayed in the name of the
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Trinity of ONE.

Please read the Ukrainian thread regarding a
more accurate history of Ukraine's Trident.

Eastern Ukraine is as much if not more linked to Russia as the former is with western ukraine.

Therefore, it's foolhardy to continue to pretend that Russia and Ukraine are two separate countries along the lines of Russia and Poland or Ukraine and Poland.

This is by far the more accurate of the two threads on the involved subject matter.
