I've seen lots of joking at the matter of Ukrainian women trying to get out of Ukraine by all means. However it is no laughing matter. Ukrainian girls are selling themselves, because of hardship or just because they don't know how scary what they do is...
Think about it, Ukrainian population is going down as it is, and all those girls just promote international inbreeding and eraising of Ukrainian nation from the face of the earth.
Honestly, this whole thing makes me sick! How can you people joke about this?
I've head a friend in Ukraine. Her father was an alcoholic, her mom was schicofrenic religious fanatic. The girl had no moral upbringing, just abuse from her daddy and christian lectures from her mom. When she was 13(!!) years old she started hanging out with African and Arabian foreign exchange students (25-26 year old man) - they pretty much "collect" such half screwed up young girls and make them into sluts, play with them and leave the country. So.. you see where the story is going. And she is not the only one.
What reputation are those girl creating for Ukraine in the world! How they put Ukrainian culture down...
At this point I cannot say anything more.

I do not know who's been joking about the fate of some Ukrainian girls since I mostly read the history thread, however I would like to add some comment here;

The case of your Ukrainian friend is really tragic, but I dare say this is NOT typical of merely the Ukraine. When on holiday in Spain, I witnessed the behaviour of some British girls who were more than frivolous towards men met at the bar, or on the beaches. Not only were they hardly dressed, but they swore a lot, were extremely loud and used foul vulgar language. On TV in Scotland they even show programmes about young female holiday makers who enjoy themselves by endless sexual indulgence and exhibit manners typical of well.. you know who.

The local Greek, or Spanish, or Turkish men find them rather 'approachable' and make the most of the availability. The Bacchanalia go on every summer and on their return home, the British girls boast of their sexual vigour on TV.

This is why, while I accept there may be some Ukrainian, Russian, or Polish girls who end up being kidnapped by some disgusting pimps, or even who are willing to practise a certain kind of profession, I thorughly defy the theory that this is some overwhelmingly Eastern European characteristic.

If you watch programmes like 'The Villa', or 'Holiday Makers' in Britain, you'll see what I mean. A certain degree of pathology exists everywhere.

It▓s a very good point you raised. Yet, it would be interesting to know if the reason for such behaviors is the same across all these different countries. I think that in Eastern Europe, girls are not really looking for sexual pleasure from "rich foreigners"; they are looking for a better life and end up in big trouble.

I pretty much agree they are giving a bad name to Ukrainian women. What can be done? And are you speaking only of prostitution or the "mail order bride" business too? (Or do you consider those the same thing?)

What I notice is you seem to have a lot concern about Africans and Arabs... and talk of "inbreeding" (actually inbreeding is when people DON'T procreate with those outside their genetic pool). I'm sure Ukrainian men are not all angels, what about them? And white Americans? They seem to make a lot of trips over, sometimes to find a wife, sometimes on a sex tour.

Also, the girls are not just robots who you can program to be sluts without any of the blame falling on them.

I think whenever there is poverty, the line between "right" and "wrong" becomes somehow blurred.. people are unsure of their future, and if you're hopeless you tend to worry a little less of the consequences of your actions.

unlike Poland is because religion played and still plays a minor role in most people's lived, unlike the dominant Roman Catholic Church in Poland. Poverty is another reason, in Poland you don't hear of women marrying Americans to move out. Most Poles that move to the United States, move to Chicago in Polish atmosphere and neighboorhood.
