I'm doing a project for my English class about it, and I'm still looking for a little more information that what I've got... Anything (websites or books) that you have will be massivly helpful. Thank you for your help.

i will look up count tolstoy's publications, some of which have dealt with famine in ukraine in the 1930's
and let you know the result as soon as i can. if you have britannica, you could use that as a source as well |

yes, britannica does deal with famine in the ukraine
in the interwar period that is the period between ww1 and ww1, where there were two famines, one in the 20s and one in the 1930's. if you have access to these volumes, you can start there. the libraries here ar computerised, so i will get you the titles of tolstoy's books on that subject |

Edouard Radzinsky's biography of Stalin has excellent info on how Stalin manipulated the Western Media into helping supress knowledge of the famine, and how George Bernard Shaw (selected for his arrogance and cowardice) announced to the World that the famine did not exist.
I saw a recent 540-page biography of Shaw in a shop, but it didn't consider his role in the murder of millions as important enough to mention. |

Famine in Ukraine 1932-1933
Sureal, you can read some forumers here. Some of them (Hannia) provide the relevant Internet links.

`To Zbyszek
Hello, Zbigniew.
Sorry not write to you earlier. Radzinski is a russian historian, he is very popular in Russia and here in Ukraine, although I consider him not much academician. If you like- I will easily send his book to you (but in Russian). best regards -I had to go back to work-it is high season for my sales. Best wishes again for everybody. |
