As I found out the famous Sultan Beibars, who had fought and put an end to Crusaders in Holy Land in 13th century.
(He is one of the most famous Muslim herous of their history). So he was born in Crimea in the small town, now called Stary Crim. And he even send 2000 of dinarii to built a mosque there at his homeland. I was in that town just a fortnight ago, making a trip in east Crimea mountains. There is also an incredible castle - Armenian Monastry, built in 1388 not far from the town. If you ever be in Crimea- do not miss it. |

It's funny, every time I visit Ukraine, I learn something new, even though I've lived there for years and still consider it my home. Ukraine has always been the historical treasure chest without a bottom That's what my babushka always said.Irina
