Sorry, I tended to skip my history class at school, so can anybody help me figure out how Lviv became a Polish city. Using Polish methods or through some kind of tradeoff with local princes?

Let me guess, my friend, did their Big Brother give it to Poles after carrying on local ethnic cleansing? Like it would happen later with Silesia? How generous were for us our eastern brothers!
