Why are people so ridiculous? Has no one learned anything from the stupidity and waste of the last 100 yrs? Why can't we work together instead of fighting over this and that?
Grow up already.
Solve your own problems without always trying to invade somewhere else...there's enough wealth and resources to go around. Think of how many millions died in WW1, WW2, and during the Soviet/Russian occupation of countries like Ukraine...all for nothing...I am embarrassed for all of you.

This discussion is insane

Poles have enough room in their country, the society is getting older, and we are threatened by invasion of islamic immigrants already installed in western europe. in this circumstances discussing about joining lwow to poland is a stupidity. our christian roots are jeopardized, and ukrainians are our brothers in religion and slavic origins. our chance is in cooperation, not competing one to each other...

Cool Friendship

Poland and Ukraine are GOOD friends.
Many people helping many people.
In thanksgiving, we remember.

Lviv-Lwow-Lvov-Lemberg

I just wonder if we can add anything valuable to our once so vibrant, lively and interesting dispute. A lot of us took part in the discussion and it was balanced that way. No one reasonable says that we should shift European borders now. It is rather a matter for cultural sensitivity, a respect for the past which in the case of Lviv was respectable in fact.
Lviv is a beautiful town.
We in Poland have a paralell problem with Wroclaw (German Breslau, Czech Vretslav). While there is no option for Poland's territorial integrity including Wroclaw, we should not forget the German presence in this town and the amount of culture accumulated through generations.
Please note interesting voices of Jarema, Johnstruthers, The_Last_Word, Zhuk, Andrej, Bartosz, Kievan.
My intention is not to stir up the dust. I would just like to point out how we used to follow discussions in the past without deliberately offending anyone.

Lviv has NEVER been a Polish centre with Polish population prevailing.
Or you mean Jews+Polish= 50%?
Please read statistic documents instead of offering deliberately provocative subjects!

That is just something I was afraid of. Irene, you just read a few lines of text which is SEVEN YEARS OLD and you omitted feet long responses just to conclude that someone is offering deliberately provocative subjects. What kind of discussion it is? How do you represent your city now? Do we have to conclude that reading is not taught in Lviv nowadays?
