Ukraine Orpans in the '60's
I am interested in what it was like for orphans in the Ukraine during the 1960's and '70's. What were the orphanages like? I imagine that they were taken care of very well, but what about schooling, food, shelter and adoption, what happened to these children? Anyone know? Any literature on this?
Appreciate any info, I am an adventure writer with a character who I would like to have grown up in an orphanage in the Ukraine. Thanks
