Does anyone know the history of this area. I am particularly interested in knowing the history during the 1920s and 1930s. Can anyone help? In fact any information would be really appreciated.

HI irene, myself i would be interested in knowing how many that live there have the name Wiwchar, or vivchar. i'm not sure about the exact spelling.
But that was my mothers maiden name, i'm interested in knowing how many there would be with that last name still living there.
I know its not a big village, well what i saw of it it didn't seem big, but my language was poor when i was there. I was not able to find out these facts.
I was quiet happy to have found an uncle and his immediate family. So if somebody can tell me more i would be absolutely thrilled
thankyou bubyshka

This is a big village by our standards - and at least 150 of the villagers are Vivchar. My old database gives 170 of them.
You must know your the name of your mother's parents and their parents too to be able to locate your relative among this number of Vivchars - 'Shepherds'.
