Hello! Im from Ukraine and I wish the best to all good people here.Im so impressed by the level of this board!It looks very friendly...and so intelligent.And what is the most important its really looks very Ukrainian and has our atmosphere.And its rather alived,so people are really interested in the life of Ukraine...

Thank you very much.Highlander is used becouse I live in Transcarpathia-the ukrainian region established at the Western side of Ukrainian Carpathians.It consist of mountains for 60 %.Living here is a bit living in Dynotopia,becouse we are fenced off the Ukraine by mountains,but we have 3 time longer common border with 4 Eastern European countries as Hungaria,Poland,Slovakia and Romania.It have created the really unic culture.So I guess we are the most pro-western region of Ukraine.

Yes, the most pro-western because it is the most western... not the most Ukrainian though.

Well, people consider themselves as Ukrainians.But they have very wide acces to European civilization.Factually,its more easy to get to Budapest,Bratislava,etc then to Kiev...It create funny paradox:its something like Ukraine,but Europe is just in few yards.Person can live for some period here,can live next week in Hungaria...
This mountain fence among Ukraine and Transcarpathia makes administrative control very weak...as result it became real self-republic.
