HELLO LEN,
I'm English - Marlow, Bucks. and 59.
I've been to Ukraine for the last 9 years, but to the western area of Bukovina (Chernivtsi) My visits have opened my eyes to a great number of things - and I guess the only advice I would give is - "DON'T PRE-JUDGE ANY GIVEN SITUATION" - there's usually more to it than meets the eye !! Speaking for my friends - they are a wonderful crowd and have a stoic attitude that brings them through problems that would blow our heads off. I hope to be back there in May and July. Welcome - and enjoy the boards, although I have to say that there are not many 'Ukrainian' Ukrainians here - they are mostly in Canada and USA. Lots of other varied folks though, so take your time. Andrew

Andrew,
Thanks for the response. I'm a history freak so it has to be the valley at Balaclava for me. Sorry to hear that there are few Ukrainians on this site. Where are they ? Meanwhile I'll be watching and waiting. Len. |
