Thanks Irinka for the welcome to your site. I have followed quite a few 'threads' that you have been involved in, and I appreciate your even-handedness as a moderator. You even encourage Kasper... lol... "I know you can be nice" .. yes, I have seen that side of him. I have also seen the bigotted side... not pretty.
About my visit; I have been emailing a woman in Chernivtski (spelling?.. 'Chernovtsy'in my ancient atlas, ).. and I am thinking of visiting her there. Since reading some threads however, I have become unsure about wanting to go throught he hassles that some people describe as they try for visas, and as they cross into the country... sounds like some people have had bad experiences.
I have looked at the postings of pics of the Ukraine and the country seems absolutely beautiful. Do you live there? I wish the pics that are posted would have sub-titles saying where they were taken.
well, enough.
thanks again for the generous welcome. I hope to be here more often and learn all I can before travelling. The site was sort of difficult to navigate at first, but I am getting the hang of it.
