You see, I can't even get the first three letters of your
name correct, that's Polish for you.

John, thank you for your kind reply. You can call me Zibi if it is easier for you. I once suggested this to CameoJoe and he took it up. I realize that my name appears as unpronouncable for the English speakers. I think Irish words also seem to be difficult sets of characters. To make it even more difficult, I will give you several PL versions of my name: Zbigniew (full version), Zbyszek (for colleagues, friends and relatives), Zbysio and Zbys(for my granny), Zbyszko (Old Polish), Zbych(extravagant), Zbychu(town slang). The choice is up to you!

Hey Zbychu...and all the rest of ya. I'm a recent returnee to these boards, so I don't know many of you yet (except Zbyszek, who has imparted lots of knowledge to me as well as good comeraderie), but I hope you all have terrific Holidays, that you always find another bottle of vodka in the freezer when you look, that your loved ones remind you how much they love you, too, that your health sustains you through all the parties, and that you keep the fires going here on Ukraine.com. The world would be a poorer place without you.

WHAT A PLEASANT THREAD.

So much nicer than the flame-wars going on with the Russia board.....

Thankyou Zbyszek for your kind mention. I have enjoyed participating in the threads this year- and for me it has been the best year yet. I think the highlights for me were the stories of 'The English Knight' protecting the honour of his Lady Lilly against all-comers (basically Allaturka - nice boy really....but my Lady took too much interest in this Black Sea boy for my liking ) and knowing that my dear friend Raj was jumping up and down at a safe distance encouraging both combatants. - hehehe.

May you all enjoy a great holiday season, whether western, eastern, orthadox, traditional, wild and woolly ---HAVE FUN,
God bless you all.

Andrew - the English Knight with a pint of real winter-warming ale......someone lift my visor, please ??

Merry Christmas

Zbyszek,

Thank you for your knowledge about Ukraine.

When I was 17 year old, the Holy Spirit became apart of
who I am.

I do not call this mysticism.

I call it faith in the Lord:

"Only faith can guarantee the blessings that we hope for,
or prove the existence of the realities that at present
remain unseen." Hebrews 11:1

I'm looking forward to celebrating my King's birthday,
Jesus Christ's birth, whichever calendar man uses.

May God bless you all.

Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas !

ladies and Gentelmen ! Hello and greetings ! I discovered this site a few days ago while looking for ' real ' information about Ukraine and the former U.S.S.R , and I am genuinely happy that I have found you all . My quest is for knowledge about the lives of the people there , what a day in the life of a Ukrainian citizen is like , how a regular person there feels about their lives and what they percieve the future holds for them . I have been talking to a very nice lady there in Chernivtsy for some time with the possibility of our communications going a lot further . hence my desire to learn ! Let me tell tou all a little about myself . My name is John , and I am from West Virginia in the eastern U.S. I'm 29 years old with 57 years of experiance ! ( at least that's what my brain tells me !) I took an early retirement and have been single for about 12 or 13 years . Amoung others , I've especially enjoyed johnstruthers postings . John , I take it that you are Ukrainian and also living there . Have you lived in the states for a while ? Your English is superb ! I don't know how much I'll be able to contribute to this group beyond questions from time to time , but I'm really glad to have found you all ! Merry Christmas to all !

Something quite important about Kasper and Marcusenya

Good morning Kasper,

So you are a Lutheran. It obviously means you are a Christian.
Kasper, now I am writing something very important. Read it carefully please and do not post me back too fast. Think it over please.
I noticed something positive in your posts last times. Many forumers have no time or patience to follow small fights and problems of Ukraine.com board. My time is also limited but I noticed something which can clear the air of our discussion even more.
I followed the Marcusenya problem in September this year. Marcusenya registered in August and his initial posts were "normal". Then suddenly, provoked by someone I do not know exactly , he became radical and started to haunt some forumers. The more Irinka tried to settle this, the more extreme he grew. Finally, he was banned and then reappeared twice as King_marcusenya and Terrorist.
My play with Marcusenya was conciliatory in the beginning. I never shouted at him, I just tried to put things straight, yet without much success. Some (young I believe) forumers became radical as well and demanded his banning too early. Zupbonz made a big mistake publishing his would be personal data. It was quite unfortunate and caused a stir which was difficult to control.
I think Marcusenya had a regret about is behaviour and he sent his twin brother (?) from Iceland. Kasper, like Marcusenya gets occasionally a bad boy but he is much milder. His humour can be annoying at times but I can see much overall progress in his behaviour. Actually, there is no reason for his banning.

Kasper, your last posts prove that you can be a good former. Please, reveal your connection with Marcusenya. This is very important before Christmas. It will be a courageous act and I will really appreciate it. Kasper, it is a matter of honour.

I am not sure you fully understood all my previous words addressed to you. Now, I know they were understandable to Vanya, Divchyna and Katya. I broadcasted some message in the background. I just wanted to test your real and not declared knowledge of some foreign languages. The outcome was negative. I do not blame you of course but next time be more cautious when claiming: " i also speak fulent dunski, angielski, niemiec, rosjanin, polski and learning Ukrainski ".

As Beaumarchais said, 'sans la liberte de blamer il n'est pas d'eloge flatteur'
- without the freedom to criticize there can be no flattering praise. So Kasper, you have your right to criticize. However, try to think more what your opponents feel when you throw your hard rocks at them.
Kasper, I wish you Merry Christmas. Nadolig llawen!!!!
