hi...i,m in England, new to this site, hello everyone, my father came from the ukrainemany years ago, about 50.

Hi Firefly, welcome to the site. I am English but living on Scotland, my father came from the Kostopol area. A lot of Ukrainian men came to the UK after the war - something like 30,000 if I remember correctly.
Do you know where in the Ukraine your father lived and do you have contact with family there?

hi wolodymyr, i reckon he came over about early 50,s,as my parents married in 1955, I had the address of where he came from, and misplaced it over the years, my mum should have it somewhere along with photo,s, his brother went to Australa, he came to England should have family somewhere i guess, My mum comes from southern Ireland they met in Bolton ,,,,of all places, i know all my mothers side, we did have contact when i was younger, i remember we got food parcels off them,
