you can exchange right away in the railway station. there are also other places in Kiev where you can exchange money 24/7
is your girl-friend meeting you there? it will be better if somebody meet you there and help you. if your girl-friend does not meet you i could ask my friend to meet you there and help you.

there are money changing desks at the airport.. however change a minimum amount as the rates won`t be good... in the city use the on street "cabins" as the rate will be far better.... banks may even refuse currenncy... they did with me but the "cabins" were happy to exchange... :-)))
