Are you kidding me Bigfredo?

I don't know if you are trying to use this for a paper or something, but if thats the case you should make a bigger effort.

If you are trying to get facts, I wouldn't say a poll is the best option.

In Ukraine, 'holidays' start in December when Santa comes (which is earlier than U.S.'s Santa). But in Ukraine Christmas is really focused on religion and family. You would see 3 days of holidays, although some may celebrate longer just because it brings the whole family together. January 7th is the date.

Not being smart here but please don't expect people to believe that "Santa" is a part of serious Christian religion. Even in Europe people must know that the original Santa has nothing to do with Christianity and the "Coca Cola" Santa even less. Santa is a pagan figure adapted to modern celebrations by people who had vested interests in duping the populace. Even though Coca Cola did not invent the modern Santa they certainly took advantage of the situation for their own purposes.

And yet you manage to get completely off topic. I don't know how it is in Ukraine now, but when I was a kid, "Santa" was all about religion. There was no "Santa" there was only St. Nicholas. In the US you would not say St. Nicholas so using Santa is a better way of explaining, don't you think? Ohh wait, you wouldn't know because you didn't grow up in Ukraine.

I didn't need to answer it because it had already been answered by a Ukrainian. Start reading your own thread hey.

As for you Step, I don't care what you say, you mentioned Santa, then you try to divert to St Nick. Sorry if your confusion of your religious and national status is starting to cause you some memory problems but I am discussing the things YOU mentioned. So don't start on me because you have a problem.

Bigfredo,

January 7th is the day.

I would like to invite you to join some other discussions. I know you are here for a quick answer, but I think you will find the Ukrainian culture quite interesting. In either case, we are interested in all opinions.
