Hello to everyone! It's the first Ukrainian forum in English I've found. I'm vegan living in Poland and I hope to find some vegan/vegetarian from Your country here. For I love travelling (I've already been to Ukraine and hope to visit once more soon), I'm sure I'll find a lot of tips here.

Hi Evergreen,
I think that the country cuisine which is not originally vegetarian loses its character when declared vegetarian. I can hardly imagine the salo worshippers from Kyiv who suddenly declare that they open vegetarian restaurant in Warsaw ha, ha!
Some dishes like these based on wild mushrooms or fish must be similar in Polish, Russian and Ukrainian cuisine.
I found a long list of vegetarian restaurants in Warsaw - hopefully it will be of any use for you Evergreen although this website uses Polish language - sorry. I cannot see any Ukrainian restaurant on the list but I can see more than one Russian place.
