Newbie!

Greetings and salutations from Page Arizona, USA. I am going to Ukraine in exactly 1 month. It will literally be a ”trip” to visit. Any tips or advice would be welcomed. Thanks to all.

Smile

I will landing in Kiev and spending a couples of days there to get over the jet lag. Then hop on a plane to Simferopol and catch a taxi to Sevastopol where I will be spending 7 days. Can't wait. The real interesting thing is the person I am meeting up with does not speak English and I speak no Russian! I guess we will make up our own language!

73,

Kathy is gently suggesting that you be careful, so don't be so moonstruck that you don't heed her words.

AND don't take any good jewelry w/you.

Kathy, your assumption is correct. I have been in contact with her for several months by email and telephone (using a third party translating service). Fortunately, I wasn't born yesterday and am quite well traveled. I will heed your warning! I do have a very good portable translator which will make things a little easier.

Hannia, thank you as well. I am not a jewelry type a guy, so that will not pose a problem.

Thank you both for your advice, as it is greatly appreciated
