Hello all,

I found this site whilst searching for info on car documents needed to take and use a car in the Ukraine long term. Think NEEDLE & HAYSTACK !! Not much info on these surfing highways
I have relatives in Stari Kuti, Ivano-Frankivsk region, and visited them for the 1st time in October 2008. I had a great time, though the language barrier was a problem at times, I stayed 4 weeks and hope to return in April 2009.
My father was born in Rojen(spelling?), Ivano-Frankivsk, and was sent to Germany as forced labour.
I am researching his history, trying to learn the lingo, and hope to woo a Hutzul girl perhaps, cos I love their general mindset & disposition.
I am a helpful type of guy, and my brother has a house he built in Stari Kuti.

Hutzul,

Hutzul girls like their men clever.

Both selo/village Velikij (BIG) and Malij (LITTLE) Rozhyn are appx 7 miles W of Stari Kuty >
these villages are in Kosivskij (Kosiv) raion/district > Ivano-Frankivska oblast/region.

LDS has copied some metrykal records to 1925.
