grandfather - born in Ukraine
Hi:
Welcome to the list. There are many knowledgable people here, willing to help Just a suggestion. You may have to post a bit more information to get some results. Did grandfather settle in the Maritimes? I don't think many did. They mostly settled in Ontario or the prairies. Good luck with your search. |

My father who was born (1922) in Lvov area in Ukraine did mention that his father had emigrated or perhaps sought work in Canada to support his impoverished family. He was called Iwan and bro Michael who was shot by the Germans during the second world war invasion. The family name is Kraczkowski and there should still be family property and land in the area. Hope you find what you are looking for. Kindest regards from a similar heart searcher. Michael.
