Just wanted to say Hi with my first message, and express gratitude about being able to be here and talk about the home I've never been to.

I would also like to clear up a misconception about Indiana. Contrary to what Ilf & Petrov wrote, some of our buildings are actually Two stories tall, and our skyscrapers can go Three or More!

Not many, but some.

By the way, you do know I'm going to be jealous if my Guest Book thread doesn't attact the same attention as Barjavel's, don't you? lol.

I don’t know about others but your message did attract my attention. Wish we had more like it here.

I forgot Ilf and Petrov were in Indiana. They liked to write funny stories. It’s nice to learn Indiana is getting taller and taller. Hope one day you’ll be able to see the magnificent Dnipro from a skyscraper . It worth seeing , no doubt.

Actually, I used to live in LaPorte County, Indiana (on the lake that Oprah's emptied in to) so I watched Chicago TV. Even now, my favorite radio show is Mac, Jyrko & Harry on ESPN 1000. It seems that news and politics -- unless they're Ukrainian -- bore me, so I listen to sports, lol.

Awshoot! Off topic, but fun, no less: I'd read that traditionally the last toast of the evening was always, "Na Konya!" That got me to thinking about the song "Whiskey For My Men, Beer For My Horses." It also makes me wonder if the original Texans were actually Ukrainian.
