I'm not surprised no one has registered on here for a pen-friend. Your inbox would be snowed under with hate mail and attempts to save you from an existence you didn't choose, but are perfectly happy living with. As happy as the rest of us.
I'm not a lesbian, but lesbians and gays if your looking for someone to talk about Ukraine with or anything at all, drop me a line. Freedom means free to be yourself! ------------------ Life is all: Money, Pleasure and Period Pain

My apologies LippyChick that no one has responded to your message so far. I really thought that was rude of everyone. Anyway, here I am as your penpal. WHAT are you looking for in a penpal? I work as a management consultant and travel a lot throughtout North America and sometimes to Europe. I wanted some penpal who knows about Ukraine to teach me about the History and Culture of the Ukrainian people. Do you think you could help? I am very widely read in World History and Culture and am also widely traveled in many countries. I just LOVE to know about different peoples. I also lived in so many countries.
Hope to hear from you soon. Bandit Quote:

Lippy Chick,
Yes, you're right. I'm not gay either, but I'm amazed how much prejudice against gays there is here in Ukraine. All power to anyone who stands up for the right to be different. Why can't people just live their own lives and let other people do the same? I teach English in Kiev, and 90% of my students say if one of their best friends told them he or she was gay, they would stop being friends. They are always amazed that I don't agree with them, and say that it's different in England (mostly). I wish there were more people like you in Ukraine (and in fact, in the world). Nice one! Lewis |

Hey. I would totally agree with you all, that there so many people against gay or lesbians in Ukraine. Although I am not a lesbian, but i do wish that Ukrainians should treat them the same.
When I went to Ukraine and I was walking around with my cousin in Lviv, I was holding her hand because I didn't want to get lost and this guy was so rude that I wanted to punch him so bad. There's nothing wrong with liking the same sex!!( I like guys for your info. and I am a girl lol) Anyways, I think they don't want anyone to be different them, the people of Ukraine. Well, I hope Ukrainian people wount be afraid to say that they are different! Thanx! ~*angel*~ |

This thread had a good start.. yet it never went far. All people who expressed their opinion here were not gay - where are those who are gay and looking for a place to discuss this issue with Ukrainian community. I have no knowledge about gay life in Ukraine... but it would be interesting to hear.
So, if anybody knows anything interesting on this TABOO subject... go ahead and give us a head start ![]() |

So, I am interested in talking about gay and lesbian issues here in Ukraine. I have read that everything happens in Kiev, but I have heard from some fellow travellers that there is some underground stuff here in L'viv. I have been in L'viv only for a month now and am looking for gblt friendly folks. Anyone out there or does anyone know what I am talking about?
Let me know cheers,grrrl |
