Visit to State Archives in Chernivtsi

I plan to visit the Archives in Chernivtsi this September to look for Orthodox church records for the towns where my family is from (Hlynyci, Voloca, Chagor and Cuciurul Mare). I know that some church records for Voloca and Chagor are available through LDS but I am looking for records outside of the dates for the available microfilmed records.

Does anyone have any experiences at the Archives to share? What are the standard operating procedures for a visit, for gifts for the director, access to the record books, etc?
