Ubinie, distr. Kamionka: photos or village plan?

Does anybody have new or preferably old photos of Ubinie, district of Kamionka, near Lviv?
Additionally I'm looking for a village plan of Ubinie in order to locate the home of my ancestors
Can anybody help me with information? Thanks.

Question Arduous task

Well, I'm curious if these "old photos of small village" exist somewhere?
Sensible way is to find someone who'd go there, make photos and send them to you.

P.S.I'm collecting old photos of Lviv and other westukrainian cities. Will be grateful for any web-links.

Hi Dietmar,
I believe these are the volumes you are interested in and they are
microfilmed. They're all one one microfilm.
The pages referes to the number of microfilm frames. I'll check to see if
there are any other birth records available as there seems to be nothing
after 1830 but the Bishop's Copy (Volume #5713) might contain these.

You can find the nearest FHL at your local LDS at this site:
http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Libr...ameset_fhc.asp

In Canada, the rental is $7.50 for each microfilm (the price just went up
from $4.50 on Jan 1st). Check at your local FHL in case someone has
already brought your microfilm in on indefinite rental. You'll then be
able to view them for no charge.

Here is a site for knowing what to expect and helping you to understand
the information in these records: http://www.halgal.com/vitalrecords.html

Near the bottom of the page, check the all links under: Reading Vital
Records and also all the links under
Tutorial of Vital Records.

This is the format that your records will be in. You'll notice that the
surnames are very easy to pick out as they appear the same as if they were
in English.

You might find this site with the information on Latin terms found in the
records useful as well:

Mark,
I got your name and email address via Hannia in the Ukrain group. She
said that you might know, if there already exists a LDS film of the
Greek Catholic Church records of Ubinie / Ubyni distr. Kamionka, near
L'vov (former Lemberg).
I am interested in the period before 1890.
Happy Easter
Dietmar

Hi Hania and Mark,
during the last weeks we encountered several technical problems with our mail server. That's probably the reason, why I didn't receive Mark's extensive information on the Ubinie-films. Many thanks for that.
