Happy Easter!

???
According to Ellis Island, Dec 8, 1903 there is a Yuroslaw Hrubec (1 yr old) arriving w/his parents, Josef (29 yrs old) and Anezka (27 yrs old). They were heading for Chicago to Josef's cousin's (Bessie Hebek???). They were coming from ZAHORO, Bohemia. THIS FAMILY WAS FROM THE TRANSCARPATHIAN MOUNTAIN REGION.

What is your family history re GGrandfather Jaroslaw?

???
The Pucalec Families look to be coming from Kingdom of Hungary> Austro-Hungarian Empire. This too would be the
Transcarpathian Mountain Region.

There are two listings for Hrabec in Lviv proper.

1. ÃÐÀÁÅÖÜ ².Ñ. 291-59-52 ².ÂÅËÈ×ÊÎÂÑÜÊÎÃÎ 44
2. ÃÐÀÁÅÖÜ Í.Ì. 222-57-86 Ê.ÒÐÈËÜÎÂÑÜÊÎÃÎ 28

Are you sure Grandfather Jaroslaw was born in Lviv, the regional capital city? Immigrants frequently referred to their regional or district centers as place of origin for geographical reference, because their own villages were small.

Unbreakable (Viktor), a member here, is a Lviv resident Consider getting in touch w/him and ask that he make some telephone inquiries to listed numbers. His rates are very fair. viktorko@ukr.net Additionally, he can help w/translations.

KGB records for Olha can probably be found in Lviv Oblast Archives. These are in the form of index cards w/a fair amt of detail.
