I'd like to contact living relatives of Ilona & Vasil Risko who lived in what was once Kovesligit and is now called Drohova or Chust.
Vasil Risko was my grandfather and was born around 1886. He married Ilona Risko and they had several children - one also named Vasil or later Charles.
Ilona and all the children except my father died in their hometown. The children all died young. My grandfather made several trips to American. Not sure when he came to America for final time. My father was born in 1919. I do know his father left for America a few years after that for good I believe. When my grandmother died, my father lived with grandparents for many years (probably 7 or 8) before coming to America at age 18 in 1937. Periodically my father sent packages and corresponded with some cousins throughout my youth. He's 87 now so I don't think he keeps in touch anymore.
If you are a relative, or know of any Riskos from this town, please post. I'd love to hear from you. From what I know, however, Risko is a very common name in this town and not all are related.
