Thanks. The original documentation of my grandfather is not available to us to be sure about writing in Russian or in Polish. Letters wrote in Polish haven't the maiden name; the signature was as Sliwicz. By an oral transmission, I believe that the first one is the correct writing form with any proposital sound modification when of the Russian transliteration. |

There is even Upper Hell and Lower Hell. There is Little Hell, too [Piekielko]. I often pass a village named Stare Babki on my way to Gdansk.
