I am searching for any information regarding the Szulikowski family in Ukraine. Grandfather married Maria Katchur, probably in 1900. Grandmothers relatives were in the area of Papierna near Terebovla. The Szulikowski family may have been near there. He spoke Polish. He came to Canada in about 1912, and remainder of family came in 1922. Most interesting would be if there were any relatives in Poland, also! Please e-mail if anyone has any information. Thank you.
While I am here, does anyone have any information about a town or area named Kuozurmik. It may be around the town of Malay Kucheriw in the Zactavna Region, or Chernovtsi. Kuozurmik was the name mentioned on my great grandmothers documents in 1850.There was also an Orthodox church there as she was registered there. Relatives in Malay Kucheriw don't seem to know where this is. The place has disappeared! Thank you. |

Papiernia was an estate. The filial churches, both Greek & Roman Catholic, were located in village Kobylowloki >Trembowlya Adm District. Later the village was called Kopitshinets Zhovtnevoye and today it is Kobylovoloki in Terebovlyanskij (formerly Trembowlya) raion/district. Budzanow and Janow were judicial/tax districts for this village, at different times at turn of century.
