Everything since May 20 has been deleted.
Who deleted them? I see several of my posts throughout Ukraine.com have also been deleted. I also found this when trying to access Ukraine.com: You don't have permission to access / on this server. I had to backdoor it to gain access. None of this makes sense, but then the management here hasn't made any sense for a while now. [Edited by Hannia on 16th June 2004 at 16:32] |

It is a pity to see that Ukraine.com is slowly dying, at least its genealogy part. I hope that it will return back to normal functioning after some time.
In the meantime, there are some other massage boards or mailing lists that are related to Ukrainian genealogy. Among them: http://www.infoukes.com/ There you would find a lot of interesting information, and it has many different mailing lists: http://www.infoukes.com/lists/ , and among them is genealogy list which has currently 309 members. Very active also is Galicia_Poland-Ukraine group in yahoo: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Galicia_Poland-Ukraine/ which has 339 members. Very useful is following genealogy forum: http://genforum.genealogy.com/ukraine/ Also there are number of Ukrainian forums at ancestry.com : http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?ht...europe.ukraine Also it is very easy to start a new group using yahoo.com service: http://groups.yahoo.com/ It is very convenient in usage, allows posting photos to web site, there are separate folders for links, files, databases. It is easy to create and maintain; and it does not depend on any kind of administration that supposedly moderates the forum, but does nothing in the best case, or insult and deletes the posts when asked simple questions. I hope that this forum will return to normal life because its format is comparatively good, but if not than there are many other good places. Vitaliy |

Vitalij, I have to say, I am very glad that the bats in the belfry are gone. Now we can all go on doing what we were doing. I read Judith Hrynenko's Travel Journal. She has some interesting pictures in there. Hope you had a good summer. __________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________ Friends, If you have lost your post recently, just repost as much as you can remember.
