I am wondering if there is any way to get maps of some of the tiny villages. I saw that someone posted about Halicz and Ostriv, if I remember correctly. I would love to see maps of those areas - either current or old, or both.
Thank you.

Thank you ever so much Vitaliy. I had researched a few of these, and as always you are most thorough. I was hoping for street maps, if they exist.
I am hoping for a long trip to many little villages and will be bringing things to many people in these places.
Thank you again.

I am almost sure that there is no online map of the small villages that would have streets on it. In many villages there is just one major street with few side streets. It is very frequent that there are actually no official names of streets in the village. That’s why frequently when you are writing to the small village, to indicate the name of the village and the name of the person to whom you are writing is enough.

Big cities are the only exception, and sometimes it is possible to find street maps online.

For example, here are few links to the street maps of Lviv:

http://www.lwow.com.pl/plan/p.htm

(It includes even house numbers).

Also some info on Lviv at:
