family info from kiev area

i would like to try and find if i have any sort of relatives in current day ukraine. my fathers family is from the kiev area of ukraine and the family name was kobitovich. any info would be appreciated

Where and appx when did your Kobitovich immigrate? What is the given name and what religion was practiced?

i am not sure right now of the area around kiev that they came from, but they were orthodox catholics. his parents emmigrated to the us approximately 1928-1930 to the upstate new york area( rome, utica, syracuse). i will try to get some specific information on exactly where they originated from and pass it along to you.
