Looking for Hannia

I have followed your thoughtful help for many people
over the past few months on this forum.

You seem to be very busy.

Knowing this, I have tried unsuccessfully to find the appropriate information myself
from my Ukrainian relatives living in Canada.

I'm planning a trip to Ukraine to visit my long and almost lost relations
but I'm still looking for their addresses and in some cases their last names.

So I hope you may be able to assist my search.

For example, I have a group of relatives living in the
country west of Kiev (about 50 kms) or west of Lviv.
I'm not sure.
But my guess is west of Kiev.
The name of the village is Zamachuk.
This spelling may not be correct.
I have no other information than this.

So my question is ... are you able to find the Oblast's village or mayor's address for Zamachuk?
If so, I may begin correspondence to locate my relatives
living, as I remember, in this very small village.
Nonetheless, I know this village does in fact exist.

Another search is for relations living in Lviv.
The last name is Sucharch.
Again, spelling may not be correct.

My last search, and most difficult, is for Kiev
or Ukraine.
The last name is Klymko.
Again, spelling may not be correct.

However, if I can find my relations living in the
small village of Zamachuk, I'll most likely be able to find
my other family members living in Ukraine.

I dearly hope you are able to help me in this quest.

Gandor, selo/village Zamochok (means little fortress) is 20.8 miles north(westish) of Lviv!

How's your Ukrainian? If you need a translator for letter writing, I have gotten some exc feedback re Vitalij and his wife in Boston. He can probably also help you with the Ukrainian white pages.

Hi Gandor,

I think that we may be interested in the same family and the same village! I just received my great-grandparents' marriage licence, and they were married in the village of Zamochok in the registration district of Zolkiew. His mother's maiden name was Suchorab. My grandfather was also from this village. I have just received 3 microfilms of the parish registers and there are many KLYMKO and SUCHORAB families. My own family are HUMEN with intermarriage with LUZNY, SUCHORAB, LOMAGA, KRECHOWESC, SOROKA, CHURAI and others that I am just beginning to find! This village is close to Lviv, not Kiev.

If anyone else out there has an interest in this village I would be very happy to hear from you!
