any news on Mr.Korol's situation? With the holidays coming it would be extra special if he could see his sister.

I just received some wonderful news.

Pawlo Korol gained his British citizenship today. He will have his passport any day now.

The family thanks everyone, who helped bombard the UK govt w/E-mail in support of the Pawlo Korol cause. They firmly believe that without that pressure, his application would still be sitting in a pile somewhere.

Pawlo Korol is going home.

How wonderful that this family can at last be together! There are miracles out there, large and small!

If not for folks like Hannia, who brought his plight to others, this might not have happened.

Looks like the Guardian has offered to pay Pawlo Korol's fare home, under the condition the exclusive story goes to them.
