I was in Uzhorod last year nice place, we walked down from the square along by the river one of the children I was with was walking on the wall and nearly fell off in to the water . My cousin told me it was one of the wealthiest cities in Ukraine because of the wine buisness.

Hey Uzhgorod not huge but simply good city.If you now good people outhere they can show you all the spots you will want to stay for vacation.
By the way ever been outside the city camping are real nice quaet no cars no distorbance from outside the city.
Uzhgorod city have everything from high reket to good people good friends.

The city 4 years ago use to be most expensive city in the west of Ukraine.
We have people who always complaine about poor life but if you walk down street all you can see BMW and Mecedes.
We have best taxi system in Ukraine some times beter then biger cities like Kiev or even Paris

I was born there, and now live in the USA. I went to visit last year, very nice place but the people are verey poor, no water or lights after ten o'clock.

My father was born there. Ive been there many times. I lived in lviv, but came to visit my friends there every summer. I dont know about the poor people there, but I lived in a wealthy family back in Ukraine, but came to Canada for various reasons(long story). The friend that I visited in Uzhgorod was a very rich guy. And when I walked around the city all I saw was BMW and Mercedes and other high class cars. The houses there are the best I ever saw in any country. Its a very clean city, just beautiful.
