Help: L'vovich (or Lvovich) 2

Hello!

Does anybody knows if L'vovich (or Lvovich) family originated from Region of L'viv (Ukraine) and it emigrated in present Region of Veneto (now Italy, but former Austria) before first world war?

I am not ignoring you. Most other Lvovich's seem to have originated in either Byelorus or what would is Eastern Ukraine today. Pravda in Lvivska Oblast/region no longer exists. I have double checked the most recent Ukrainian postal index and do not find it. Shtetseeker does show it still in existence in 1970. The Galician Gazeteer would provide you with details as to what records would be available for Pravda at turn of century.

What religion did the Lvovich's you are researching practice? I have noticed that many w/Lvovich surname were Jewish. Some Jewish records can be obtained thru Polish Archives. There are also some extensive Galician sites for people of Jewish faith. Let me know and I can post the links for you.

Have you been in touch w/Intl Red Cross Archives re Mira Lvovich? There might be some records/personal info available in their archives for Mira Lvovich, since she was a Red Cross nurse during WW1. Check both Austria and Italy.
