All these surnames strike me as Carpatho-Rusyn. The key to your search is locating exact date and place of birth for each immigrant ancestor! IMPORTANT TO READ these two links before doing anything else !!! Hannia,
I am getting some other info from my father in law. He has some papers of the origianl John Kozura comming over and the town he was born in. He said he was carth. He is getting me everything together that he has found. Something cool! He has 2 big old trunks and he showed them to me today. They are John Kozura's and he brought them with his things in them from the Ukraine. They are beautiful! I am in the process of talking him out of them too, haha, since he is not doing anything with them. All of this is very exciting since my husband is John Kozura IV. |

Marcie,
You and John Kosura IV are real lucky. Those trunks probably contain family treasures of museum quality. Have you ever been to Ellis Island? The museum there contains articles from old family trunks. Fabulous stuff. PS>I can help you w/any translations you might need. |

Yes, we went to Ellis Island about 2 1/2 years ago. It was such a wonderful experience! My mother's family (Entriken) also came through there. I just couldn't take it, I cried so much.
The trunks are just fab! They are so beautiful. I am going to find someone that can restore them. |
