In or near is not enough...exact place is key to search
There are several Dabrowice's in now Ukraine.
Link below probably the best for Eastern European searches, because Soundex (sounds like) is automatically incorporated into search. JewishGen ShtetlSeeker - Town Search http://www.jewishgen.org/ShtetlSeeker/loctown.htm _______________________________________________ Some clues. Dabrowice is a Polish spelling/transliteration of town/village name. Re surname Kosciuczenko - surname suffix ENKO means son of & is common to EASTERN Ukrainian surnames. Was the Kosciuczenko/chenko family from what was once called Russia/Poland??? Before I put up any links for you, what else do you know? When did the family emigrate? Where to? Any family oral history? Where did they settle upon immigration? What are given names? You will be searching a predominantly non-digitized world, so very clue is valuable. |
