KOSOVAN name -- any info appreciated

My great-great-grandmother was Gizela KOSOVAN who lived in Slovakia, born late 1890's (in Slovakia?). I thought she was Slovak but maybe not... I know nothing about the KOSOVAN name and so will appreciate any and all info about it --e.g., is KOSOVAN very common in Ukraine, does it have any roots/relationship to other names (e.g., Kosov, Kosoff), and anything else you can tell me about it. Thank you.
