Once again I thank you for your help and assistance with the important information you have been able to obtain. Jnr |

Hi
I would strongly advise you to register with the National Archives of Australia. It is free-go to the website home page, click on 'search database' and you should find buttons that allow you to register. You wont see the digitised records if you search as a guest user. Only a few records have been digitised and you are very lucky. The processing records for Jozsef, Katina, Valentin & Wladyslav are accessible on line about 31 pages in all. And there are photographs! The kids Valantin & Wladyslav are really cute. The town is listed as Reutlingen Processing centre Germany. , Date of arrival in Germany from the Ukraine listed as: 12Jan1942. . Someone on this site should be able to help you locate it. Jozsef: trade shoemaker, spoke Polish, Ukraine German & Russian. Religion Greek catholic. The medical records are in German. Could not see birthplace of any of the family members The only other Kolosa record that has been digitised is the one for Szczepan born 07Feb1931, birthplace: Sosnowiec (?), Silesia, Poland (roman catholic) I am not sure where you are in the world. but if you live in Australia and are registered on the National archives website, they can deliver the rcords to an archives base in your city (in Sydney it is Chester Hill way out west!) for you to view in perrson. check out the details on the website. Happy searching. |

Hi Junior123
There were several books written about Pawlokoma and the 3 March 1945. Most are written in Polish or Ukrainian. There are several Kolasa family survivors who tell about their experiences. Let me know if you would like more info. Tempo |
