KOZAK family in Sokolivka

Hi all

I make my family tree and I will need your help to find traces of my ancestors in Ukrania

My Great grand-mother was born in Sokolivka, near Bibrka the 8th May 1898
her name was Anna KOZAK
And she was Greek Catholic
At that time, Galicia was part of Austria-Hungary.
She left with her family (parents and brothers and sisters) and they settled in Wien (Austria) in the 1910's.

She gave birth to my grand-father in Wien the 8th September 1919 and at that time she lived in Schwerchat, a little town near Wien
She was not married and then my grand-father's family name is KOZAK (and mine too )

after that, she settled in France
she married, had other children in the early 1920's but I don't know if she married in France or in Austria.
I know that her eldest son was born in France in 1926, but don't know where exactly

What about Sokolivka now ? On Google, it seems to be verry little.
Is there some archives somewhere in the village ? Or will I have to contact archives in Lviv ?
How will I have to proceed to get her birth certificate or baptismal ?

I do precise that I don't speak Ukrainian, nor Russian and my english is not perfect but I think can make myself understand

I hope my english is not too bad

Thnak you for your help !
best regards
Ann

Dear Ann!
I studied metric books Sokolivka for 1890-1900. In 1898, there is no record of the birth of Anna Kozak.
At this time lived in Sokolivka 5 families Kozak:

Kazak Nikolai and Elampiya Rudnytska. Lived in the house number 12 and had children: Sofia (1890)

Kozak Stephen and Anna Revutska. Lived in the house, number 7, and had children: Mary (1890)

Kozak Alex and Anna Shevchun. Lived in the house number 38 and had children: Onuphrius (1894)

Kozak LukÁ and Ksenia Heychakovska. Lived in the house number 30 and had children: Dmytro (1896), Mary (1898), Alex (1900)

Kozak, Peter and Mary Repetsky. Lived in the house number 28 and had children: Michael (1897).

If you need other information from the metrical books please contact.
Sincerely Igor Voronchak (voronchak@ukr.net)
